DAZER Australia Transitions to the HUSH U20 and UB122 Anti-Barking Devices
End of an Era for the DAZER II
September 2024, DAZER Australia embarks on a significant transition as the iconic DAZER II model reaches the end of its production line. The manufacturer, KII Enterprises, officially ceased production of the DAZER II in 2023, with our final bulk order arriving early in 2024. After more than a decade of distributing this well-loved anti-barking device, we found ourselves at a crossroads, seeking the ideal replacement to continue serving our loyal customers.
The Search for a New Anti-Barking Solution
Since we began distributing the DAZER II back in 2008, we have had numerous questions, feedback, and suggestions from customers who relied on the device to manage unwanted barking. When we learned that the DAZER II would no longer be manufactured, we knew we needed to find a worthy successor—something that would meet the evolving needs of our users and enhance the features they had grown accustomed to.
With this goal in mind, we started reviewing potential replacements, incorporating customer suggestions into our evaluation process. We developed a comprehensive scorecard based on feedback from years of experience with the DAZER II. This scorecard included a range of features that our customers wanted in their next anti-barking device.
Key Features People Wanted
As we reviewed various options, it became clear that there were certain essential features people were seeking in an upgraded device:
- Increased Distance of Control: Many users wanted an anti-barking device that could control barking from a greater distance, offering more flexibility in managing their pets’ behaviour.
- Dual Mode Functionality: The ability to switch between different modes of operation was highly requested. Customers wanted to have more control over how the device works, depending on the situation.
- Built-in Torch: Practicality was another consideration. A built-in torch would add convenience for users, especially during nighttime walks or outdoor situations.
- Rechargeable Batteries: With sustainability and ease of use in mind, many of our customers wanted a rechargeable device that wouldn’t require constant battery replacements.
- A Manual: Believe it or not, one of the most requested features was a manual! Customers wanted clear, easy-to-understand instructions to make the most of their device.
