Has your Dazer stopped working? How can I tell if my DAZER II is working?
The DAZER II sonic bark controller is supplied with a quality alkaline battery installed and under normal conditions will operate for about one thousand, one second activations. On average about 6 months to a year.
Red light activation on the top of DAZER II
The red LED light will not operate if the battery is exhausted or your DAZER is faulty. Remember there is no audible sound to your hearing, so PLEASE do not point the device at your own ear. Point the device away from you at the dog and press the button once or twice to check activation and steady solid red light.
No red light – means your DAZER has stopped working
Check the Battery by changing to a quality Alkaline Battery. Most supermarkets have Duracell and Energiser.
Ensure the correct polarity. The positive and negative terminals will be marked with a “+” and “-” symbol on the DAZER and match up with your battery. Incorrect (reverse polarity) will damage the DAZER circuits.

How to test DAZER II anti bark device

NOTE: You can also test your DAZER with a candle or lighter. Please use caution when using this method to not burn yourself or property. When you operate the DAZER close to the flame it will flicker each time the button is depressed.

How does normal operation look on a DAZER II anti bark device?
When you push the button the DAZER II has a bright steady red LED on the top of the unit. If the battery is flat the light will not operate and a new quality alkaline battery needs to be installed (video below). Activate the device by pointing it at the dog and using a 1 or 2 second activation rather than a constant activation. If necessary, repeat.
